Particle Systems, SLI Systems, Rock Star Recipes, HumanWare and 4D Steel Detailing took the top honours at the ANZ Canterbury Export Awards 2007. Exporting isn't for the faint-hearted. The awards pay tribute to exporters' determination and tenacity to export Cantabrian goods around the world during difficult times.

"It was certainly a privilege to attend this major event in the Canterbury business calendar to publicly celebrate with great organisations showing true innovation. Once more Canterbury has shown that, in spite of tough trading conditions, there continues to be success stories," said John Payne, president of Export New Zealand Canterbury Region and Director of SideOn Ltd.

Particle Systems Ltd took The Solid Energy Canterbury Emerging Exporter of the Year Award. This award celebrates companies that have made the most remarkable export jump forward. Finalists in this sector have been exporting for fewer than three years. Particle Systems produces business software providing efficient job-tracking solution for the Advertising pre-press and digital print industries.

Particle Systems will compete for The Export New Zealand Emerging Exporter of the Year honour to be presented at the 2007 New Zealand Export Awards in November.
