Quick Overview of Procedure
Take a copy of your backup files from the server and place them on the CLIENT MACHINE. Rename the Streamtime.fp7 file to Streamtime Old.fp7.
Download the update file from the link above on to a CLIENT MACHINE and place in the same folder as your database files taken from the server.
Running through the update script will copy all of your data from the Streamtime Old.fp7 file to the newly downloaded Streamtime.fp7 file.
Once update script has finished running take a copy of the files called Streamtime.fp7 and Printforms.fp7 back to the SERVER MACHINE and upload these files to the FileMaker Server via the Admin Console.

(If a popup window appears that states “Network Sharing has been turned off” ignore this error and click OK)
A pop up window will appear. Click on the “Check File” button. This checks your old Streamtime database to make sure it is OK to update.

Enter the username and password you normally use to access your Streamtime database if prompted. (If you are using a Mac check the box ‘Remember this password in my keychain’ if you do no want to be asked again and again for your login details during the update process. If you are using a windows machine you will have to re-enter you login details whenever you are prompted during the update)
Once your file has been checked and “is okay to update”. Click the “Continue…” button.
Your update will start and will take approximately 10 minutes depending on the size of your database.
Once the update has finished running click “Quit”
Move the Streamtime Old.fp7 file out of the folder and place it somewhere safe. The files that remain in the folder are your newly updated database files and are ready to upload to your server. Copy the folder and its contents on to the desktop of your Server.
Upload your new Streamtime to your server:
1. Close and Remove the old Streamtime and Printforms files from you FileMaker Server Admin Console.
In the Databases view in the FileMaker Server Admin Console select then Right Click on the “Streamtime.fp7″ database and select “Close”. Once the database has finished closing. Select and Right Click on the “Streamtime.fp7” database again and select “Remove”. This will safely copy the PrintForms or Streamtime file to an archived folder on your FileMaker Server.
Now do the same for the “PrintForms.fp7” database.
Check to see that the database files you have just removed from the FileMaker Server have been removed from the live database folders. Remove the folder called “Removed_by_FMS” and its contents out of the live database folder and save them to a safe place ie. in a folder on the desktop.
Here are instructions of where to find your database files on the server.

When asked, tick the box that says Automatically open the Database after uploading. Streamtime should now be open on your server. Make sure backup schedules are in place.
FINAL CHECKS
It would be a good idea to check the data in your database and make sure the update has been successful. Here is a quick checklist to use as a guide to check over your Streamtime 10 database:
Check Contacts
Check Quotes
Check Tenders & Orders
Check Jobs
Check Invoices
Check Setup > Administration area
Check Cost Matrix
Check Printforms
If you find that data is missing. Please roll back your database to the version you were using before you began the self update.
Otherwise if all data is present and your do not receive any errors, you have successfully performed the self update of your Streamtime 10 database.
A good resource for Administering and Troubleshooting your FileMaker Server Admin Console are the documents:
FileMaker Help
FileMaker Getting Started
These documents can be found at the FileMaker Support Website
IMPORTANT: Once you have your files successfully uploaded to your server please check that your data and settings from your old Streamtime are present in your new Streamtime.
